TH Company wins award for implementation of 5S

In June Euskalit, the Basque Foundation for Excellence, awarded TH Company an area diploma for its project to implement 5S at its warehouse nº 3. The score obtained in the Euskalit audit also led to TH being one of the first companies in the Mungialdea area to be invited to join the 5S Club. 


The project sought to implement the 5S method at the small and medium raw materials warehouse, which has a surface area of over 400 m2.

Implementing this method has enabled the company to reduce the time required to locate and prepare material to customers by over 45% and avoid the risk of running out of stock, thus enhancing customer service. There have also been gains in accessibility and ergonomics in the workplace, and storage capacity has been increased.

Next year the company hopes to secure 5S certificates for four more areas and thus continue working to enhance process efficiency and provide even better service to customers.
